Japan dominated Philippines in 86 - 0 run for IFAF 2015 asian qualifier

This is the first time that Philippines organized a national team to compete on world tournament. It was somehow expected that Japan will win the game being the 3rd best team internationally and with Philippines just having 4 years of experience in officially creating leagues for tackle football.

That said, our team should focus on training and learning to become better competitors in the world of tackle football.

Japan won by 86 - 0 score.

The Amazing Playground is planning to out American Tackle Football Jersey

Saw this post from their facebook page. And it looks like the jersey has some blessing from ATFAF or IFAF as they claim that its the National Team's Football jersey.

I wonder what does the lifestyle jersey look like?

What is AFFP and how it started

We've covered before the difference between ABP and AFFP. We now know that the two leagues are created by different people. They have their own teams and they have their own leagues. But they both have the common goal of introducing and teaching and making the American Football mainstream here in the Philippines. Surely though, they both have their own unique reason as why they are a separate group.

Lets find out how AFFP started.

How is ABP, AFFP, GFL, ATFAP and AFDL different? Explanation of confusing terms

So many similar words

Okay. So we have ABP which stands for ArenaBall Philippines, we also have AFFP which stands for American Football Federation of the Philippines, another one is ATFAP which is American Tackle Football Association of the Philippines, GFL is Gridiron Football League Philippines, AFDL American Football Developmental League and NGLP National Gridiron League Pilipinas. There are so many groups related to american football in the Philippines and almost all are the same for the average filipino eyes. What sets each of these group and members apart?

American football in the Philippines

Way back in 2009 were the ArenaBall Philippines (ABP) introduce the first American Football (tackle football) league in the country. It started with only four participating teams, "The Bandits", "The Juggernauts", "The Wolves" and "The Rebels" (former "The Barracudas"). ABP Season 4 opened last September 21, 2013 introducing new expansion team "The Knights". ABP Season 4 ended February 15, 2014 with the reigning 4-time Champion "The Bandits".

ABP is under The American Tackle Football Association of the Philippines (ATFAP), a member of Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), and a member of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF).
